Most patients benefit from psychotherapy whether or not they are taking medication.
The most important element in psychotherapy is the therapeutic relationship. I am interested in my patients’ stories, thoughts, and feelings. I care about my patients and want them to be happier and more successful.
There are many different systems of psychotherapy. Selecting the most appropriate type of therapy for a patient is as important as selecting a medication.
I provide individual psychotherapy including supportive psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and use of analytic concepts.
Referrals to other therapists will be made if a patient would benefit from a different type of therapy or another therapist’s particular expertise.
